TUESDAYS & WEDNESDAYS 4pm-6pm (All ages, children must be accompanied)
Join us for some seasonal fun, whatever the occasion or time of year, there are always loads of projects and fun workshops you can try your hand at ... all in a friendly and very sociable environment.
Make something for your self or as a gift for friends and family.
Bring the family, come on your own or with a group of friends or colleagues, Eastcott Studios is the ideal place to let your hair down, join the fun and get creative! :)
IMPORTANT: Do remember that you will need to allow plenty of time (approx 3 weeks) to complete your project as you will need to complete the following steps:
1. First visit to the studio - Design and create your project in clay
2. Allow 4-7 days for your project to dry out before we can do the first firing for you (this will vary according to weather, thickness of clay etc). Each firing takes around 12 hrs then about a day to cool down properly.
4. Second visit to the studio - Add coloured glaze to bisque (first fired clay). Once dry we will do the second firing for you.
6. Your project will be ready to collect
COST: starts at £10 but varies according to cost of project (please note costs are payable at the start of your project). Project cost includes materials and two visits to studio, one to create your item and the second to glaze it. You will then need to collect the finished item once it has been glaze fired (we can arrange for it to be posted for a small fee to cover p&p).
To help you plan ahead, in addition to birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, engagements, new baby, and of course just for the fun of it... here is a list of just some of the occasions you may like to enjoy being creative....
Do let us know if we have missed anything! :)
We have all seen the Great British Throw Down on TV, this is your chance to get your sleeves rolled up and start throwing your very own ceramic pots! Come individually or bring some friends, great fun but be prepared to get really messy!
For a fun, introductory 1hr taster session it is £15 which includes materials. Once it has dried out, your pot will be fired, this can take between 1 to 3 weeks depending on the size and thickness of your pot and how damp it is. If you would like to decorate and glaze your pot you will need to come back for another session but you can join any of our 'drop-in' sessions to do this, just check with us to make sure your pot has been fired and is ready to be glazed. There will be an additional charge of £10 to cover glazing and the essential second firing to complete the process giving your pot a wonderful shiny glass like finish. If you prefer to take your pot home to decorate this is fine too, you can use acrylics to paint at home adding a PVA glue wash to seal.
If you want to take it a bit further, improve your technique and follow a series of 1hr classes, these start at £15 per session for a four week course which is payable on or before your first session.
Please note that pot throwing sessions are not normally suitable for children under 8yrs.

Unique project workshop where you can make some delightful terracotta garden lanterns in the shape of Fairy Houses. If you prefer, you can glaze your houses in some gorgeous bright colours which will cheer up any garden or window box.
Ideal family fun. You can make some little garden fairies or cheerful little toadstools to add to the theme, just let your imagination flow and get creative!
The sessions are project workshops and run at various times during the week. Fairy House workshops are normally £10 per person per session. You will normally need two sessions, the first one to make a fairy house then the second to glaze and colour it.
Your house will be fired after each session.
You can however simply collect your house after the first firing and either leave as it is or paint at home using acrylic paints then add a PVA glue wash to seal and give a satin finish.
If you would also like to make Fairies and/or toadstools, this is another workshop which is again £10 per person per session.
(for Adults only)
