Martina Markich
Creativity can be locked inside us because of the lack of opportunities for us to explore that side of us. Mixed media artist, designer and teacher Martina has positive, enthusiastic way of approaching art and expresses this in all her projects. Martina inspires all her groups to appreciate and enjoy making art.
After studying art techniques at ‘Beaux Arts’ in Paris Martina later went on to complete a ‘Art and Design course’ at Kensington and Chelsea College. In year 2000 she achieved ‘BA (Hons) Degree in Mixed Media Art’ at University of Westminster in London. Recently she completed an ‘Art Therapy foundation course’ for BAAT in London.
Since 2000, Martina has been organising art workshops and exhibitions, teaching foundation courses for Adult Education in London, running mother and toddler therapeutic art sessions for Sure Start centres, working with old people in care centres, preparing relaxing art projects for people with mental health problems, running children art summer schools in UK and Europe, set up courses for home education students in Wiltshire, and other art and media activities.
